Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2008 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Waiting For Release by Dixon Clark. The price achieved of GBP 625.00 (€ 837.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by Dixon Clark have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cattle and sheep resting in a water meadow in November 2000 with an auction result of GBP 3,055.00 (€ 4,993.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Waiting For Release von Dixon Clark zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 625,00 (€ 837,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dixon Clark auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cattle and sheep resting in a water meadow im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.055,00 (€ 4.993,28).
