Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Elegant figures feasting in a garden by Dirck Hals was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 150,000.00 – 250,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 162,500.00 (€ 181,039.41) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dirck Hals - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tric-Trac Players In An Interior, which sold at auction in January 2011 for USD 602,500.00 (€ 439,300.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Elegant figures feasting in a garden von Dirck Hals kam im Dezember 2018 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 150.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 162.500,00 (€ 181.039,41) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Dirck Hals mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tric-Trac Players In An Interior beobachtet, die im Januar 2011 für USD 602.500,00 (€ 439.300,04) versteigert wurde.
