Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work An Interior Scene With Cavaliers And A Group Of Ladies Playing Music Around A Table, With Two Figures Preparing To Serve Wine At The Right by Dirck Hals was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in February 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 56,250.00 (€ 46,065.02). Admittedly, works by Dirck Hals have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tric-Trac Players In An Interior in January 2011 with an auction result of USD 602,500.00 (€ 439,300.04).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit An Interior Scene With Cavaliers And A Group Of Ladies Playing Music Around A Table, With Two Figures Preparing To Serve Wine At The Right von Dirck Hals im Februar 2018 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 56.250,00 (€ 46.065,02) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dirck Hals auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tric-Trac Players In An Interior im Januar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 602.500,00 (€ 439.300,04).
