Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2015 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master Paintings & Sculpture Part II, which included the work A Boy Singing And Playing The Clapper by Dirck Hals. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 11,250.00 (€ 9,964.57) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dirck Hals achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tric-Trac Players In An Interior in January 2011 with an auction result of USD 602,500.00 (€ 439,300.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2015 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master Paintings & Sculpture Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Boy Singing And Playing The Clapper von Dirck Hals zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 9.964,57) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dirck Hals erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tric-Trac Players In An Interior im Januar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 602.500,00 (€ 439.300,04).
