Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Colour Genome Project # 28, Liz Taylor by Dipo Andy was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2012. It achieved a price of HKD 175,000.00 (€ 17,421.67), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dipo Andy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mendadak Nge-Pop (Suddenly Pop), which sold at auction in October 2008 for HKD 572,000.00 (€ 58,183.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Colour Genome Project # 28, Liz Taylor von Dipo Andy wurde im Oktober 2012 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 175.000,00 (€ 17.421,67) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Für andere Arbeiten von Dipo Andy mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mendadak Nge-Pop (Suddenly Pop) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für HKD 572.000,00 (€ 58.183,25) versteigert wurde.
