This artwork by Ding Ruchang achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April 2015. In the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas auction, the work Calligraphy In Running Script sold for HKD 55,200.00 (€ 6,379.50) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ding Ruchang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy In Regular Script, which sold at auction in October 2014 for HKD 188,800.00 (€ 19,437.51).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ding Ruchang erzielte im April 2015 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script für HKD 55.200,00 (€ 6.379,50) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ding Ruchang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy In Regular Script beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für HKD 188.800,00 (€ 19.437,51) versteigert wurde.
