Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ding Erzhong could be acquired at Bonhams in New York in March last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part V The Online Sale auction, the work Calligraphy in Seal Script, the Shiyou Gui inscription, 1923 changed hands for USD 1,402.50 (€ 1,264.31) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Other works by Ding Erzhong have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in October 2015 by the work Pomegranate at HKD 11,800.00 (€ 1,378.55).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ding Erzhong konnte im März letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part V The Online Sale wechselte die Arbeit Calligraphy in Seal Script, the Shiyou Gui inscription, 1923 für USD 1.402,50 (€ 1.264,31) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Andere Arbeiten von Ding Erzhong wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Oktober 2015 die Arbeit Pomegranate mit HKD 11.800,00 (€ 1.378,55).
