This artwork by Dikdik Sayahdikumullah achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2008. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction, the work Shower On The Cabs sold for HKD 259,500.00 (€ 21,386.08) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dikdik Sayahdikumullah - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Blue Opti, which sold at auction in October 2008 for HKD 475,000.00 (€ 48,316.51).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Dikdik Sayahdikumullah erzielte im April 2008 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings wurde die Arbeit Shower On The Cabs für HKD 259.500,00 (€ 21.386,08) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 100.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Dikdik Sayahdikumullah mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Blue Opti beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für HKD 475.000,00 (€ 48.316,51) versteigert wurde.
