In May this year Christies in Paris held the auction Art contemporain - vente online, which included the work Mittlerer Sonnenuntergang by Dieter Roth. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 4,410.00 47% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dieter Roth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Tischmatte) in June 2012 with an auction result of GBP 51,650.00 (€ 63,955.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 47 % übertroffen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Art contemporain - vente online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mittlerer Sonnenuntergang von Dieter Roth zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 4.410,00 und damit 47% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dieter Roth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Tischmatte) im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 51.650,00 (€ 63.955,00).
