Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary East, which included the work Roman ian/Germaneight Accidental Bars by Diet Sayler. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 18,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 22,506.12) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Diet Sayler - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work o.T., which sold at auction in September 2013 for GBP 47,475.00 (€ 56,749.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2016 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary East durch, in der auch die Arbeit Roman ian/Germaneight Accidental Bars von Diet Sayler zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 18.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 22.506,12) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Diet Sayler mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit o.T. beobachtet, die im September 2013 für GBP 47.475,00 (€ 56.749,02) versteigert wurde.
