The work Rondvlucht by Dick Pieters was worth EUR 4,560.00 to a buyer in June 2005. This price was achieved in the auction Pictures Watercolours and Drawings at Christies in Amsterdam and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 400.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Dick Pieters; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Dierenvriend sold at auction in March 2012 with the realized price of EUR 4,750.00.
