Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2007 Sothebys in London held the auction The Greek Sale, which included the work In The Barracks by Diamantis Diamandopoulos. The price achieved of GBP 18,000.00 (€ 26,488.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Diamantis Diamandopoulos achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Greek Seated Greek Sergeant in April 2008 with an auction result of GBP 276,500.00 (€ 352,498.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2007 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Greek Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit In The Barracks von Diamantis Diamandopoulos zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 18.000,00 (€ 26.488,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Diamantis Diamandopoulos erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Greek Seated Greek Sergeant im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 276.500,00 (€ 352.498,43).
