A top price for Diamantis Diamandopoulos
In April 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction The Greek Sale, which included the work Greek Seated Greek Sergeant by Diamantis Diamandopoulos. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 276,500.00 (€ 352,498.43), 38% above the upper estimate. With this result, Greek Seated Greek Sergeant is even the most expensive work of art by Diamantis Diamandopoulos that we have observed at auctions so far.
