Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Greek Worker by Diamantis Diamandopoulos was sold in the The Greek Sale auction at Sothebys in London in April 2008. The price achieved of GBP 30,500.00 (€ 38,883.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Diamantis Diamandopoulos have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Greek Seated Greek Sergeant in April 2008 with an auction result of GBP 276,500.00 (€ 352,498.43).
