The work Bird's Watcher by Dia Al-Azzawi was auctioned at Christies in London in November this year. It achieved a price of GBP 23,940.00 (€ 27,741.25), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 60%. Admittedly, works by Dia Al-Azzawi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Arsak Mowt (Your Wedding is Death) in October 2016 with an auction result of USD 235,500.00 (€ 214,833.06).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 60 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Bird's Watcher von Dia Al-Azzawi kam im November diesen Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 23.940,00 (€ 27.741,25) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 60%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dia Al-Azzawi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Arsak Mowt (Your Wedding is Death) im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 235.500,00 (€ 214.833,06).
