Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 VAN HAM in Cologne held the auction From the Olbricht Collection - Part III | ONLINE ONLY, which included the work Symbol. by Dennis Scholl. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 500.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 516.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dennis Scholl - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bild für die Ungläubigen (Der erste Theologe)., which sold at auction in June 2020 for EUR 1,268.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2020 führte VAN HAM in Köln die Auktion From the Olbricht Collection - Part III | ONLINE ONLY durch, in der auch die Arbeit Symbol. von Dennis Scholl zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 500,00 – 800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 516,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Dennis Scholl mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bild für die Ungläubigen (Der erste Theologe). beobachtet, die im Juni 2020 für EUR 1.268,00 versteigert wurde.
