Despite a disappointment, a good price for Dennis Roxby Bott
In December 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work Trinity Hall, view from Trinity Lane by Dennis Roxby Bott for GBP 720.00 (€ 1,068.57). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century British Art & Dreaming Spires; Watercolours of Oxford and Cambridge Colleges at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, Trinity Hall, view from Trinity Lane is the most expensive artwork by Dennis Roxby Bott that we have observed at auction so far.
