This price was achieved in the auction Property of the Scheringa Museum of Realist Art at Christies in Amsterdam and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 800.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Dennis Møgelgaard; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Still life with skull sold at auction in September 2012 with the realized price of EUR 5,250.00.
