Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2015 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included the work Fake Library by Denmark. It changed hands for a price of EUR 3,250.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Admittedly, works by Denmark have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Time Magazine in November 2021 with an auction result of GBP 16,380.00 (€ 19,231.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2015 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fake Library von Denmark zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 3.250,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Denmark auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Time Magazine im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.380,00 (€ 19.231,66).
