Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Water, White On White by Denis Wirth-Miller was sold in the THE ROSS HAMILTON COLLECTION Journeys to the Pimlico Road auction at Christies in London in February 2013. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 4,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,081.81). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Denis Wirth-Miller - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sussex Landscape, which sold at auction in June 2021 for GBP 12,600.00 (€ 14,682.28).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Water, White On White von Denis Wirth-Miller wurde im Februar 2013 in der Auktion THE ROSS HAMILTON COLLECTION Journeys to the Pimlico Road bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 4.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.081,81) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Denis Wirth-Miller mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sussex Landscape beobachtet, die im Juni 2021 für GBP 12.600,00 (€ 14.682,28) versteigert wurde.
