In March 2008 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work A maiden on the shore by Denis Chernov. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,413.28), 41% above the upper estimate. Other works by Denis Chernov have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 1,320.00 (€ 1,951.31) in August 2007 for the work Hot summer II.
