The work Innocence by Demétre Chiparus was sold in the The Sculpture Sale auction at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2007. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 21,850.00 46% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Demétre Chiparus have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Exotic Dancer Sculpture, Circa 1920 in April 2011 with an auction result of GBP 193,250.00 (€ 217,632.80).

Die Arbeit Innocence von Demétre Chiparus wurde im November 2007 in der Auktion The Sculpture Sale bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 21.850,00 und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Demétre Chiparus auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Exotic Dancer Sculpture, Circa 1920 im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 193.250,00 (€ 217.632,80).
