Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Paintings, which included the work 'Oriental Dancer': A Bronze And Ivory Figure by Demétre Chiparus. The price achieved of GBP 23,750.00 (€ 30,020.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Demétre Chiparus have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Exotic Dancer Sculpture, Circa 1920 in April 2011 with an auction result of GBP 193,250.00 (€ 217,632.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Oriental Dancer': A Bronze And Ivory Figure von Demétre Chiparus zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 23.750,00 (€ 30.020,80) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Demétre Chiparus auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Exotic Dancer Sculpture, Circa 1920 im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 193.250,00 (€ 217.632,80).
