A top price for Demas Nwoko
This artwork by Demas Nwoko achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in March 2021. In the Modern and Contemporary African Art auction, the work Folly sold for GBP 226,800.00 (€ 266,431.58) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 80,000.00. This high result makes Folly the most expensive artwork by Demas Nwoko that we have observed at auctions so far.
