In April 2007 Sothebys in Singapore held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings, which included the work No Smoking by Dede Eri Supria. The »bidding war« ended at SGD 19,200.00 (€ 9,248.61), 28% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dede Eri Supria - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fab Four, which sold at auction in October 2008 for HKD 275,000.00 (€ 27,972.72).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28 % übertroffen
Im April 2007 führte Sothebys in Singapur die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit No Smoking von Dede Eri Supria zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von SGD 19.200,00 (€ 9.248,61) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Dede Eri Supria mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fab Four beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für HKD 275.000,00 (€ 27.972,72) versteigert wurde.
