Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sunset In The Catskills by DeWitt Clinton Boutelle was sold in the American Paintings auction at Sothebys in New York in April 2011. It changed hands for a price of USD 6,875.00 (€ 4,638.69) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by DeWitt Clinton Boutelle - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Artist Sketching, which sold at auction in January 2020 for USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,268.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sunset In The Catskills von DeWitt Clinton Boutelle wurde im April 2011 in der Auktion American Paintings bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 6.875,00 (€ 4.638,69) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von DeWitt Clinton Boutelle mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Artist Sketching beobachtet, die im Januar 2020 für USD 12.500,00 (€ 11.268,37) versteigert wurde.
