Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2014 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century Chinese Art, which included the work Ruined Roman Temple by David Wu Ject-Key. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 106,250.00 (€ 10,938.75) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by David Wu Ject-Key have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ladies Under The Pine in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 750,000.00 (€ 84,498.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2014 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ruined Roman Temple von David Wu Ject-Key zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 106.250,00 (€ 10.938,75) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Wu Ject-Key auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ladies Under The Pine im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 750.000,00 (€ 84.498,73).
