Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Draped Nude by David Wu Ject-Key was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 112,500.00 (€ 13,001.70) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by David Wu Ject-Key have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ladies Under The Pine in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 750,000.00 (€ 84,498.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Draped Nude von David Wu Ject-Key kam im April 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 112.500,00 (€ 13.001,70) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Wu Ject-Key auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ladies Under The Pine im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 750.000,00 (€ 84.498,73).
