Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Helenus On The Mersey by David Shepherd was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in March this year. The price achieved of GBP 4,845.00 (€ 5,512.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Shepherd achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work After the Rains - Evening in the Luangwa Valley, Zambia in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 115,250.00 (€ 142,135.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Helenus On The Mersey von David Shepherd wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.845,00 (€ 5.512,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Shepherd erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit After the Rains - Evening in the Luangwa Valley, Zambia im Dezember 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 115.250,00 (€ 142.135,26).
