Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Allegory of Winter by David Ryckaert was sold in the Old Master and British Paintings auction at Christies in London in November 2016. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,899.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Ryckaert achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Schlafender Alter. in July 2015 with an auction result of EUR 68,750.00.

Die Arbeit Allegory of Winter von David Ryckaert wurde im November 2016 in der Auktion Old Master and British Paintings bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.899,51) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Ryckaert erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Schlafender Alter. im Juli 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 68.750,00.
