Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2013 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Portrait Of An Elegant Lady, Seated, In Front Of A Window by David Rolt. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 875.00 (€ 1,016.36) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by David Rolt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of A Lady In Red, In A Library in February 2013 with an auction result of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,081.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of An Elegant Lady, Seated, In Front Of A Window von David Rolt zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 875,00 (€ 1.016,36) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Rolt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait Of A Lady In Red, In A Library im Februar 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.081,81).
