Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2003 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART, which included the work Visiting the artist's studio by David Oyens. The price achieved of EUR 7,170.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Oyens - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work De Stamtafel: storytelling in a cafe, which sold at auction in May 2014 for EUR 16,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2003 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Visiting the artist's studio von David Oyens zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 7.170,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von David Oyens mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit De Stamtafel: storytelling in a cafe beobachtet, die im Mai 2014 für EUR 16.250,00 versteigert wurde.
