Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Matter Of Time by David Koloane was sold in the Handpicked: 50 works selected by the Saatchi Gallery auction at Christies in London in March 2019. It changed hands for a price of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,513.18) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Koloane - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Made In South Africa (Pink), which sold at auction in November 2016 for GBP 17,500.00 (€ 20,648.28).

Die Arbeit A Matter Of Time von David Koloane wurde im März 2019 in der Auktion Handpicked: 50 works selected by the Saatchi Gallery bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.513,18) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von David Koloane mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Made In South Africa (Pink) beobachtet, die im November 2016 für GBP 17.500,00 (€ 20.648,28) versteigert wurde.
