This artwork by David Gilhooly achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April last year. In the Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art auction, the work Gilhooly's Breakfast Variety Pack, 1989-90 sold for USD 10,837.50 (€ 10,285.19) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by David Gilhooly; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Group of seventeen sculptures sold at auction in December 2017 with the realized price of USD 22,500.00 (€ 18,715.69).

In der Auktion Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Gilhooly's Breakfast Variety Pack, 1989-90 für USD 10.837,50 (€ 10.285,19) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von David Gilhooly; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Group of seventeen sculptures im Dezember 2017 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 18.715,69).
