Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of Sir Maurice John Pierce Lacy, 2nd Bt. (1900-1965), in the uniform of the Life Guards by David Jagger was sold in the British & European Art: Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art auction at Christies in London in July 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 12,351.75) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Jagger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Model Resting in September 2020 with an auction result of GBP 150,000.00 (€ 165,399.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of Sir Maurice John Pierce Lacy, 2nd Bt.
