Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by David Garfinkiel achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in March 2021. In the Ecole de Paris 1905-1939, The Jewish Artists auction, the work Les Mariés sold for GBP 2,550.00 (€ 2,995.59) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 900.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Garfinkiel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Le Cafe Du Dôme A Montparnasse, which sold at auction in December 2007 for EUR 10,200.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von David Garfinkiel erzielte im März 2021 bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Ecole de Paris 1905-1939, The Jewish Artists wurde die Arbeit Les Mariés für GBP 2.550,00 (€ 2.995,59) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 900,00. Für andere Arbeiten von David Garfinkiel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Le Cafe Du Dôme A Montparnasse beobachtet, die im Dezember 2007 für EUR 10.200,00 versteigert wurde.
