Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2002 Christies in Melbourne held the auction AUSTRALIAN AND INTERNATIONAL PAINTINGS, which included the work Husband and Wife Rock by David Rankin. The price achieved of AUD 11,750.00 (€ 7,121.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Other works by David Rankin have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in August 2003 the work Ridge-Mungo was auctioned for AUD 23,500.00 (€ 13,882.67).
