Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fleshscape by David Aspden was auctioned at Christies in Melbourne in April 2006. It changed hands for a price of AUD 4,780.00 (€ 2,875.04) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of AUD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by David Aspden have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pennant Hills, No. 1, 1975 in June 2019 with an auction result of AUD 14,640.00 (€ 12,954.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Fleshscape von David Aspden kam im April 2006 bei Christies in Melbourne zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von AUD 4.780,00 (€ 2.875,04) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Aspden auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pennant Hills, No. 1, 1975 im Juni 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 14.640,00 (€ 12.954,61).
