Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2006 Christies in Melbourne held the auction Australian, International & Contemporary Paintings Part II, which included the work Landscape by David Davies. The price achieved of AUD 31,070.00 (€ 18,687.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Other works by David Davies have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2001 the work Venice was auctioned for AUD 37,600.00 (€ 22,537.76).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 31.070,00 (€ 18.687,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von David Davies konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2001 die Arbeit Venice für AUD 37.600,00 (€ 22.537,76) versteigert.
