Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2006 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures and Watercolours, which included the work A drover and his cattle on a rural path by David Cox Jnr. The price achieved of GBP 480.00 (€ 703.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Cox Jnr achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work On The Seine, Paris in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 7,200.00 (€ 10,684.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Pictures and Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit A drover and his cattle on a rural path von David Cox Jnr zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 480,00 (€ 703,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Cox Jnr erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit On The Seine, Paris im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.200,00 (€ 10.684,44).
