The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,925.00 (€ 8,867.36), 28% above the upper estimate. Other works by David Chapple have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 12,750.00 (€ 11,548.91) in April this year for the work Sunlit Cove.
