This artwork by David Bailey achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in October last year. In the Pop X Culture auction, the work David Bailey's Box of Pin-Ups, 1965 sold for GBP 5,355.00 (€ 6,238.52) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by David Bailey have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bob Dylan in February 2008 with an auction result of USD 63,800.00 (€ 42,009.61).

Dieses Kunstwerk von David Bailey erzielte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Pop X Culture wurde die Arbeit David Bailey's Box of Pin-Ups, 1965 für GBP 5.355,00 (€ 6.238,52) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Bailey auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bob Dylan im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 63.800,00 (€ 42.009,61).
