Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction British. Cool., which included the work Box of Pin-Ups, 1965 by David Bailey. The price achieved of GBP 4,080.00 (€ 4,705.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,500.00 – 4,500.00. Admittedly, works by David Bailey have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bob Dylan in February 2008 with an auction result of USD 63,800.00 (€ 42,009.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion British. Cool. durch, in der auch die Arbeit Box of Pin-Ups, 1965 von David Bailey zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.080,00 (€ 4.705,51) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.500,00 – 4.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Bailey auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bob Dylan im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 63.800,00 (€ 42.009,61).
