Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Park Landscape by David Aspden was auctioned at Christies in Sydney in August 2001. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of AUD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of AUD 1,175.00 (€ 682.12) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Aspden achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pennant Hills, No. 1, 1975 in June 2019 with an auction result of AUD 14,640.00 (€ 12,954.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Park Landscape von David Aspden kam im August 2001 bei Christies in Sydney zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von AUD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von AUD 1.175,00 (€ 682,12) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Aspden erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pennant Hills, No. 1, 1975 im Juni 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 14.640,00 (€ 12.954,61).
