The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,425.26), 33% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Darren Lago - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Stilletto Stalactite, which sold at auction in October 2008 for GBP 7,500.00 (€ 9,559.81).
