Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Full Moon Tondo at Orkney by Darren Almond was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2021. The price achieved of GBP 2,520.00 (€ 3,005.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Darren Almond achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Six Months Later in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 50,400.00 (€ 74,791.07).

Die Arbeit Full Moon Tondo at Orkney von Darren Almond kam im Dezember 2021 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.520,00 (€ 3.005,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Darren Almond erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Six Months Later im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 50.400,00 (€ 74.791,07).
