Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Recto: Design For A Spandrel With Several Putti Verso: Two Angels by Daniele Crespi was sold in the Old Master & British Drawings Sale auction at Sothebys in London in July 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,687.09) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Daniele Crespi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Flagellation Of Christ in January 2015 with an auction result of USD 106,250.00 (€ 94,109.83).

Die Arbeit Recto: Design For A Spandrel With Several Putti Verso: Two Angels von Daniele Crespi wurde im Juli 2012 in der Auktion Old Master & British Drawings Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 5.250,00 (€ 6.687,09) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Daniele Crespi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Flagellation Of Christ im Januar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 106.250,00 (€ 94.109,83).
