Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Trainer'S Daughter by Daniel Pender Davidson was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,375.00 (€ 2,998.67) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Daniel Pender Davidson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of Molly Hickin, seated half-length, in a blue hat and a patterned sweater; and An unfinished portrait of a lady (verso), which sold at auction in March 2012 for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,743.33).
