Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work Fantastic Birds Frolicking In A Wooded Landscape by Daniel Marot for USD 750.00 (€ 573.44). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Daniel Marot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Design For An Ornamental Garden With A Central Pond With Figures Enjoying A Boat Ride And Others Fishing Beyond in January 2012 with an auction result of USD 37,500.00 (€ 28,729.03).
