Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Daniel Hopfer could be acquired at Christies in London in December 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master Prints auction, the work Three German Soldiers with Halberds and a Dog (B. 61; Holl. 69) changed hands for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,312.86) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Daniel Hopfer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Saint George on Horseback slaying the Dragon in January this year with an auction result of USD 41,580.00 (€ 38,294.35).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Daniel Hopfer konnte im Dezember 2008 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Master Prints wechselte die Arbeit Three German Soldiers with Halberds and a Dog (B. 61; Holl. 69) für GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.312,86) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Daniel Hopfer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Saint George on Horseback slaying the Dragon im Januar diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 41.580,00 (€ 38.294,35).
